Photography was her first great love. Even if she loosed sight of her for years -as it often happens with first great loves- For Sabine photography brings a lot of joy and it has similarities with theatre due to the fact that in both: people claim.

“It’s not about whether reality is like that or not. It’s about taking a stand for your perspective and trusting it. Photography happens immediately, it happens at the moment however the environment/the audience will react, but you are concentrated, omnipresent, alert to follow those invitations to be present in your surroundings. That fascinates me. It makes me observe, it’s an invitation for me to be in the moment without thinking about yesterday or tomorrow. And then suddenly there is a gesture, a detail, a mood, an encounter, a certain color that makes me stop and get interested. In photography, I have to develop spontaneity and engage in the unforeseen, because these moments that I’m trying to capture aren’t planned, they just happen. I think developing this spontaneity is a privilege, which doesn’t happen that often in our culture anymore because there is no room for the unplanned in our meritocracy. The following first series is therefore entitled “connect with the environment.”
